Financial Advisor forBusiness Owners & Entrepreneurs
Building a successful business can create substantial wealth—but much of
that wealth may remain concentrated in the company itself. Gold Coast Capital
Management helps business owners and entrepreneurs coordinate the personal
investments, retirement assets and liquidity around the business while preparing
their investment strategy for a future sale or other liquidity event.
Whether you are still building, preparing for a transition or investing proceeds
after a sale, the focus is on creating a disciplined investment strategy for
the wealth beyond the business.
When Business Success
Creates a More Concentrated
Wealth Picture
Building a successful business often means committing years of time, effort and capital to one company. For many owners, that company becomes their largest asset and primary source of income. Retirement accounts, taxable investments, cash and other personal assets also form part of their financial picture.
That focus may be what made the business successful. As wealth grows, however, the investments outside the business need a clear purpose: funding retirement, maintaining liquidity and supporting family priorities. A diversified personal portfolio can help reduce reliance on the company’s future performance or an eventual sale.
Gold Coast Capital Management helps business owners and entrepreneurs develop and manage a coordinated personal investment strategy. We consider their existing investments, the wealth tied to the business and their long-term goals, whether they are continuing to build the company, preparing for a transition or investing proceeds after a sale.
Personal Investment Strategy
Your Investment Priorities Change
as Your Business Evolves
Growing a company, preparing for a sale and stepping back from day-to-day work each bring
different financial decisions. Your personal investment strategy should reflect how your
business, income and priorities are changing.
Building Wealth Outside
Your Business
Building wealth outside your company does not have to wait until you sell. Gold Coast helps coordinate retirement accounts and taxable investments around your long-term goals, with attention to liquidity and the wealth already tied to your business.
Preparing for a Sale or
Ownership Transition
Before a sale or ownership transition, consider what your personal wealth will need to support. Gold Coast reviews your investments, estimated net proceeds and future spending needs to prepare an investment strategy for life after the transition.
Investing After
a Business Sale
Sale proceeds may need to cover near-term spending and tax payments as well as long-term goals. Gold Coast helps separate near-term cash needs from long-term investment capital, then builds and manages a diversified portfolio that includes your existing investments.
Preparing to Step Back
or Retire
As you step back from the business, your portfolio may need to provide more of your income. Gold Coast aligns investment risk, cash reserves and planned withdrawals with your retirement goals, balancing current spending needs with long-term growth.

How does the complimentary portfolio review work?
We begin with a conversation about your personal investments, the role your business plays in your finances and what you want your wealth to accomplish. Recent investment statements help us evaluate your allocation, risk, liquidity, costs and relevant tax considerations across accounts.
We then explain what appears well positioned, what may deserve attention and whether changes could better support your goals. The review is complimentary, with no obligation to become a client or transfer assets.
Can Gold Coast review my portfolio if I already have a financial advisor?
Yes. You can request an independent second opinion without leaving your current advisor or committing to any changes.
We evaluate how your existing investments work together and whether the strategy reflects your business interests, cash needs and long-term goals. If your portfolio is already well positioned, we will explain why. If we identify concerns, we will walk you through them so you can make an informed decision.
Can Gold Coast help with my investments before and after a business sale?
Yes. You do not need to be planning a sale to work with us. While you own the business, we help manage your personal investments with attention to the wealth and income already tied to your company.
If a sale is approaching or completed, we help determine how the proceeds should fit with your existing investments and future needs. We consider funds needed for taxes, spending and other near-term commitments before developing a long-term investment strategy.
Our role focuses on your personal investments. Business valuation, sale negotiations, transaction structuring and individualized tax or legal advice remain with the appropriate professionals.
Where are my investment assets held if I become a client?
Your investment assets are held in accounts in your name at Charles Schwab, which serves as the independent custodian.
Gold Coast manages your investments under the authority established in your advisory agreement. Schwab holds the assets and provides account statements and direct online access to your holdings, balances and transactions.
This gives you ongoing visibility into your accounts independently of Gold Coast.
What does it cost to work with Gold Coast?
The initial portfolio review is complimentary. For ongoing investment management, Gold Coast’s standard annual advisory fee is 0.50% of assets under management.
Gold Coast does not earn commissions from investment recommendations. Underlying fund expenses and any applicable third-party charges are separate from the advisory fee.
Complete details about fees and services are provided in the firm’s advisory agreement and regulatory disclosures.
